July 4th and 5th the Texas Heat Music Festival took place at Jones Plaza in downtown Houston. We heard awesome DJ sets by Drop the Lime, Hot Pink Delorean, 2020 Soundsystem, The Rapture as well as a badass live performance by local favorite Shina Rae. Beer was flowing like wine, brisket sandwiches were flying, fireworks were blasting, people were getting wet, and all in all, it was hot as balls.
